Atomizer's wheels:

The wheels installed on the atomizers produce highly homogeneous sprays also within an immense range of dimensions of produced droplets.

The characteristics of the spray can be controlled by means of varying the rotation speed and selecting the wheel type according to the product property and the results that you want in terms of the final obtained particle size distribution.

A correct selection of the wheel type, moreover makes the possibility of cloggage virtually impossible.

The wheel is one of the fundamental components of the atomizer and without doubts the element subject to greater stress because of:

• high rotation speed.
• contact with abrasive products, corrosion or both combined.
• contact with high temperature drying air.

Therefore, all the wheels are obtained from materials of first quality and from forged bars with highest attention to thermo-treatment.

Materials

In the standard version, the wheels are produced in “Duplex” steel. Other materials are defined according to the characteristics of the product to atomize, which are:

• Super Duplex
• Titanium
• Inconel
• Hastelloy C276

For abrasive and corrosive products, with the aim to prevent wear, ceramic techniques for the covering of the inner parts and for the spray nozzles are used:

• Sintered Allumina
• Tungsten carbide
• Silicon carbide (SiC)
• Boron carbide
